2025 Q1 Summit Agenda
09:00-09:15 - Welcome and breakfast
09:15-10:00 - Sustainability regulations in a changing world: EU and US perspectives
A discussion between Rachel Lowe, Special Regulatory Counsel at Proskauer Rose and KEY ESG's CEO Heleen van Poecke. Rachel regularly advises on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), including analysis of its applicability for large international group structures. Rachel also supports clients with SFDR, Taxonomy Regulation, EU MiFID and AIFMD sustainability requirements and the UK’s SDR (including TCFD). The conversation will look at how businesses should read geopolitical changes and regulatory updates and what the best approach is going forwards.
10:00-10:30 - Investor perspectives on evolving collaboration on ESG with their portfolio companies
A panel discussion with:
- Jill van Coppenolle, ESG Manager, AP Moller Capital
- Julia Zlotkowska, ESG Manager, Montagu Private Equity
- Benjamin Watkins, Sustainability Associate, Antin Infrastructure Partners
We will be asking what are the main sustainability topics that investors care about? What should companies prioritise and keep track of? How can investors and investee companies collaborate and support each other on their sustainability journeys? How is this expected to change in the coming years as regulations evolve?
10:30-10:45 - Coffee Break
10:45-11:15 - CSRD Customer Experiences: early learnings on how to build repeatable and scalable processes around CSRD compliance
A panel discussion with:
- Andreas Backs, Global Director of Sustainability, Beumer
- Francesco Anichini, ESG Manager, Ambienta Private Equity
The CSRD has been a new regulatory challenge for companies across and beyond Europe. This panel will explore what KEY ESG customers have learned from their early CSRD experiences? What was the most challenging and what was the most interesting about the process? How are they building repeatable, scalable processes to improve on their future CSRD reporting?
11:15-12:00 - All eyes on the Omnibus: what updates can we expect on sustainability regulations and how will they impact global ESG reporting and target setting?
A panel discussion with:
- EFRAG Senior Technical Manager Anna Grochowska
- Sarah-Jane Denton, Director Operational Risk and Environment, Travers Smith
- Pendar Ostovar, Head of Financial Institutions, Impact and Engagement, the Scienced Based Targets initiative (SBTi)
We've all awaited the Omnibus update with anticipation. Now that the update is out, what are the key updates that companies should be aware of? Our panel will discuss the updates, interoperability with other frameworks and answer questions from the audience.
12:00 - Lunch & KEY ESG Customer Awards
