A tailored journey: onboarding in just 1–2 weeks

KEY ESG's onboarding is a four-phase journey that can be completed in as little as one to two weeks, depending on the scope and complexity of each client's needs. Every step is led by a dedicated Customer Success team and focused on giving users full ownership of their ESG reporting environment.

Phase 1: Introductory call and activation

This stage sets the tone for the entire onboarding experience. Clients meet their dedicated account manager and support team to ensure a smooth transition from the sales process. We assess company structure, user roles, reporting frameworks, and training needs in order to prepare a tailored onboarding approach.

Phase 2: Preparation and customisation

Based on what we’ve learned, we create a customised onboarding presentation, document the timeline and expectations, and confirm all deadlines. Our team takes care of the groundwork so the platform is set up exactly as needed — from entity organisation to metric development.

Phase 3: Admin training

In a 30-minute live session (also recorded for reference), admin users are trained on setting up the platform, launching data requests, and tracking reporting progress. We dive into advanced features such as automated workflows and custom metrics to empower admins with full control.

Phase 4: User training

The final training session focuses on data gatherers and platform users. We cover all supported data collection methods — from usage-based to supplier-specific — and guide users through report generation, exports, and carbon literacy fundamentals.
